Why use a pool racking cloth?

Fitting and use

The racking cloth is designed to be stapled into the wooden frame underneath the table top. On many English pool tables, the top is held on with clips, so once the ball shoot is removed and the clips are undone, the top can usually be lifted off to access the frame.
