Three months in. What a start.
Three months ago, the Chalky Trousers online shop properly opened its doors.
What started as a daft name, a few ideas and a genuine love for cue sports has already turned into something much bigger than expected.
Not global domination.
Not fancy.
Not polished to within an inch of its life.
But real.
And that matters more.
Since launch, the support from the cue sports online community has been unbelievable. Every order, share, message, comment, bit of feedback, joke, tag, follow and “go on then, I’ll give it a try” has helped push Chalky Trousers forward.
So before anything else:

What’s happened so far?
It’s been a busy first three months.
Probably busier than planned.
Definitely more chaotic than planned.
But in the best way.
Chalky Trousers x Crafted Cues
One of the biggest steps has been forming a partnership with Crafted Cues to offer a growing range of pool and snooker cues.
The aim has always been simple: make decent, carefully selected cues more accessible, without the usual smoke and mirrors.

The first edition cue range has already helped shape what Chalky Trousers is becoming, and we’re already working behind the scenes on the second edition cues.
Chalky Trousers x INC Apparel
We’ve partnered with INC Apparel to produce the Chalky Trousers Strong Men Feel match shirt.
This one means a lot.
It’s not just a shirt. It’s part of the wider Chalky Trousers message that cue sports should be about connection, not just competition.
Yes, we all want to win.
Yes, we all want to clear up.
But the table is also where people meet, talk, reset, escape and belong.
One-piece, two-slot cue cases are here
We’ve also started building out the practical side of the range with one-piece, two-slot cue cases.
Because let’s be honest, if you’re spending money on a cue, chucking it in the car like a fishing rod isn’t ideal.
These cases are designed for players who want proper protection, practical storage and something that actually looks the part when you walk into a venue.
To celebrate the launch of the case range, there’s currently a £130 launch offer available.
I’ve become SightRight Pool accredited
Another big personal milestone: I’ve now become SightRight Pool accredited.
That matters because Chalky Trousers isn’t just about selling products. It’s about understanding the game properly, improving as a player, learning more about how people aim, practise and perform, and being able to bring more useful knowledge back into the community.
I’m still learning, still improving and still getting plenty wrong on the table, obviously. But becoming SightRight accredited feels like an important step in building Chalky Trousers into something with more depth behind it than just a logo on a hoodie.
The logo is starting to get noticed
This one still feels a bit surreal.
I’ve now walked into three completely random venues around the UK wearing a Chalky Trousers hoodie, and people have recognised the logo.
Just: “Is that Chalky Trousers?”
That is absolutely ridiculous in the best possible way.
For a brand that’s only three months in, seeing the logo start to mean something to people outside of my own little circle is a massive moment.
Baby Trousers has joined the family
Away from the table, there’s also been a pretty major personal milestone.
We’ve welcomed a newborn into the family, which means Baby Trousers has officially joined the Chalky Trousers crew.
So while Chalky Trousers has been growing, life at home has been growing too.
There have been orders to pack, cues to sort, content to make, websites to update, messages to answer, and now a very small new team member making sure sleep is kept to an absolute minimum.
It’s been busy, slightly chaotic and definitely fuelled by caffeine, but it’s also made the last few months feel even more meaningful.
Building Chalky Trousers while becoming a dad again has made every order, every message and every bit of support feel that little bit bigger.
This isn’t some faceless brand. It’s being built around real life, late nights, family, league nights, cue sports and a genuine love for the game.
And one day, Baby Trousers will either be very proud of the name…
Or deeply embarrassed by it.
Probably both.
Players are starting to wear the badge
There are now players proudly wearing, or soon to be wearing, the Chalky Trousers badge.
That’s genuinely mad to write.
Seeing people choose to represent Chalky Trousers at league nights, competitions and local matches is one of the proudest parts of this so far.
Merch is live
The Chalky Trousers merch range is also growing, including hoodies, t-shirts and caps.
Simple, clean, cue sports gear for people who take their pool seriously, even if they don’t always take themselves too seriously.
Chalky Trousers is reaching beyond the UK
Another big milestone: Chalky Trousers has already started reaching players outside the UK, including the US.
That might not sound like much to some people, but for a small UK cue sports brand, that feels massive.
Knowing the brand is starting to travel beyond local league nights, UK venues and the online cue sports community is genuinely exciting.
Chalky Trousers going international already?
Ridiculous.
But also, we’ll absolutely take it.
The mental side of pool
I also shared a more personal blog about anxiety, pressure, pool and mental health.
It’s probably one of the most important things I’ve put out through Chalky Trousers so far.
Cue sports can be brilliant, but it can also be intense. Walking into venues, playing under pressure, feeling like you need to prove yourself, carrying life stress into match night. It’s all real.
The blog was written honestly because Chalky Trousers was never meant to just be another place selling products. It was always meant to feel connected to the real experience of players.

We’ve also launched the Chalky Trousers Discord.
This is where we want to build more of a proper cue sports community. A place for players, makers, creators, league players, casual players, cue nerds and anyone who just loves the game.

The first edition pool and snooker cue range has taught us a lot. The next range is already being worked on, with the aim of making things even stronger, sharper and more aligned with what players actually want.

More Chalky Trousers cue towel colours are in the works. The current towels have gone down really well, so the next step is giving players a few more options without losing the clean, practical feel of the original range.

The plan is to keep building Chalky Trousers with the community, not just at the community. That means more guides, more honest posts, more product testing, more player-led ideas and more of the slightly odd Chalky Trousers personality that somehow seems to be working.

Three months in, Chalky Trousers is still small.
But it already feels like it has a proper heartbeat.
That’s because of the people backing it.

The people who tell their mates.
The people who give honest feedback.
The people who get what this is trying to become.
Big plans are coming.
